cute and easy to understand. My sister taped pictures of her son in the book over the head of the big brother so he could visualize it better (don't know if that is overkill or cute)

It depends on the book and the condition it is in. If it is a modern book in excellent condition, I can see why she would get offended.

Go to amazon.com. They have several titles with the old Uncle Remus Stories. I have on book By Julius Lester called "The Tales of Uncle Remus". I know a new version also just came out recently.

Do a search on amazon as these are actually fairly popular stories.

Dr Suess is a good one
    The hungry catapiler
    The Velveteen Rabbit
    Peter Rabbit

But really, a child still in your belly doesnt understand what you're reading.. the most important thing is that you talk to your child, so you can read what ever you'd like as long as the baby hears your voice
    Congrats btw :)

  15. Jennifer Rose. Says:

You can publish your own book. The book won't be criticized, but you have to pay for it to be published. You can probably start with amazon.com and see answers there.

Children's books are a great gift!

If it were my baby shower, I would love to get them, and it would make no difference to me at all if you got them for free.
